Owner: PennDOT District 9-0 Project Description:

This project, completed by Keller Engineers’ Transportation Division, replaced the structure carrying SR 31 over the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River, near the intersection of Diehl Road (T-402). The existing structure, built in 1931 was an 87’, two-span concrete t-beam bridge. The overall project included 1,715’ of approach roadway improvements including straightening of the alignment to eliminate existing sight distance issues. Staged, partial width construction was utilized allowing improved alignment for this project.

The purpose of this project was to replace the structurally deficient bride and provide safe and efficient travel.
