Project Details

The project consisted of a superstructure replacement and widening of the bridge having three 57’-0” spans. The existing steel superstructure was removed and replaced with new steel I-beams and a concrete deck. The deck and all substructure units were widened to accommodate two traffic lanes. Total project length was 630’-0” including approach roadway and drainage facilities.

The bridge is located directly adjacent a church. Care was taken to minimize impact to the church and associated parking facilities. Additionally, the project included several environmental concerns. Stream disturbance was minimized to avoid impact to a species of concern.

We have teamed with Keller Engineers on several design-build projects for PennDOT. When selecting a designer, the more critical factors are trust and competence, more so than a low price. If your designer makes a mistake in quantities it can cost you a lot of money. We have stayed with Keller Engineers because we trust them to provide competent service at a competitive price.  S.
