This project improved conditions on the east side of Broadway between Washington and Clinton Streets. Pedestrian and bicycle traffic was enhanced by making the corridor more accessible and safer for non-motorized use and more aesthetically pleasing for motorists, residents, and businesses.
The Keller Engineers’ team accomplished the client’s goals through the implementation of new, more distinguished curbs and sidewalks compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act accessibility standards, lighting, and signage. Additional responsibilities include the addition of amenities that match the existing streetscape features constructed on the eastern side of Broadway between Washington and Clinton Streets including:
Project Uniqueness/Challenges:
All work products from Keller were outstanding and well prepared. All reports were timely and accurate, making it much easier for project close-out in the design phase. Keller office staff also submitted required documents timely and without error. Keller’s full understanding of the project’s requirements made our work as a municipal department much easier. The City of Camden looks forward to engaging with Keller on future projects and would endorse them for other firms and clients to work with them. Dr. Edward C.
