Flintstone Creek Bridge

Owner: Southampton Township Project Description:

The Flintstone Creek Bridge project involved the replacement of an existing bridge that carried T-304 (Flintstone Creek Road) over Flintstone Creek in Southampton Township, Bedford County. The old single lane, two-span concrete encased steel I-beam bridge was replaced with a two-lane, single span prestressed concrete spread box beam bridge. Located at approximately the same location as the old bridge, the existing bridge structure is approximately 50’ in length and has a clear span of 47.5’.

There is approximately 395′ of approach roadway work associated with this project. The proposed roadway will be 18’ wide including 2’-0” of effective shoulders on each side. A temporary roadway was used during construction to maintain traffic around the work zone. This temporary roadway used a series of pipes to cross the stream.
