Project Details

The Roaring Spring project was undertaken to address Chesapeake Bay program requirements relating to nutrient discharges. The project included expansion and replacement of various components to the existing wastewater treatment facility, including a new headworks screening unit, automated system control, a cast-in-place equalization basin, an ultraviolet disinfection unit, improved sequencing batch reactor components, a building expansion, and an effluent pumping station.

The project also included the relocation of the existing effluent outfall via 11,000 LF of pressure and gravity transmission main.

Keller Engineers were a key component in every area from design to construction for the first phase of Shuster Way Heritage trail that was completed in 2015.
