Project Details

This project included the design and construction of an 8’ wide mixed-use pathway along South Atherton Street.

The project included stormwater pipe replacement, new inlets, pathway vertical alignment adjustment, correction of existing drainage problems, and the replacement of 1,570 LF of 24” storm water pipe, and 1,480 LF of bituminous pathway. Erosion and Sediment Control Plan permits and approvals were obtained and coordination with PennDOT was provided.

All work was completed to Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and PennDOT design standards, specifications, and inspection criteria. This project utilized Transportation Enhancement funds.

Keller Engineers were a key component in every area from design to construction for the first phase of Shuster Way Heritage trail that was completed in 2015. Our partnership with Keller Engineers continued as we designed and completed the 2nd phase of the Shuster Way Heritage Trail in September of 2023.
