Grays Woods Partnership, Centre County
For the past 28 years, Keller Engineers has been involved with the planning and design of Grays Woods, a 600-acre mixed-use planned community located in Patton Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania.
Construction of this project has been underway in accordance with an official master plan for nearly 30 years utilizing a phased development approach, with over 1,800 residential units planned. The project is divided into distinct neighborhoods emanating from a central boulevard.
To date the project consists of 556 single-family homes and multi-family townhomes, as well as several commercial elements including churches, a school, and a daycare center. This development has occurred within five neighborhood areas including Graysdale, Marywood, Brynwood, Deerbrook, and Grays Pointe. Recreational opportunities within the community include two municipal parks, a designated shared use path/trail, and various common open space areas.
A unique element of the project is the design and construction of a roundabout located at the entrance to Gray’s Woods Elementary School.
[The] entire staff did a wonderful job! We truly appreciate all the hard work in making our bridge project a success and something we can be very proud to have in our township. Bev Sherwood Burns, Supervisor Blacklick Township
